4 Tanks, 1 World
A Multi-Tank Continuous Aquascape Design
Tank Size: 4 x GA 30C (30 Cm Cube Tank)
Style: Diorama, Bonsai
Hardscape: Bonsai, Dragon Stone, Seiryu Stone
The Client Request
The client wanted a connected four-tank aquascape using 30cm cube aquariums. The concept was to place two bonsai-style layouts on both ends, with two rockscape tanks in the center to create a continuous landscape. The goal was to make each aquarium stand on its own while still forming one unified panoramic scene when viewed together.
Initial Design Proposal
Before the final build, we created a proposed layout showing how the four aquariums would visually connect. The outer tanks were designed as bonsai landscapes, while the center tanks formed a dramatic rock valley to tie the composition together. viewed together.

Building the Hardscape Layout
Before assembling the final layout, we prepared the hardscape structure to visualize how the four aquariums would connect into a single landscape.
The outer tanks were designed as bonsai-style scapes, featuring driftwood trees positioned on rocky terrain. The center tanks were built with layered dragon stone formations, forming a valley pathway that visually connects the entire composition.
This hardscape stage establishes the overall structure and flow of the aquascape before planting and final detailing.
Completed Layout
Tank 1 – Bonsai Ridge
Tank 2 – Rising Stone Formation
Tank 3 – Valley Pass
Tank 4 – Bonsai Cliff

PROJECT SUMMARY:
This project demonstrates how multiple nano aquariums can be arranged to form a single continuous aquascape. By combining bonsai-style driftwood layouts on the outer tanks with dramatic stone formations in the center, the composition creates the illusion of a mountain valley landscape spanning four independent aquariums.
