Anubias Nana King
Anubias barteri var. nana ‘King’
Anubias barteri var. nana ‘King’ is a premium and eye-catching Anubias variety known for its thicker leaves and slightly larger, more pronounced growth compared to standard Anubias nana. Its rich deep-green foliage and sturdy structure make it a beautiful feature plant in planted aquariums.
This plant is slow-growing and extremely hardy, thriving in a wide range of aquarium conditions. It performs best when attached to driftwood or rocks, where its rhizome can grow naturally while the leaves create a lush and natural look in the aquascape.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required
Placement: Midground (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Anubias nana ‘King’ works beautifully in nature-style aquascapes, shrimp tanks, and low-tech planted aquariums. Its bold leaves provide strong contrast against finer plants such as mosses and carpeting plants, helping create balance and depth in aquascapes.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rot.
Please note that leaf size and number of leaves may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
