Anubias Peacock
Anubias ‘Peacock’
Anubias ‘Peacock’ is a rare and visually striking Anubias variety known for its textured leaves and unique growth pattern. The leaves often display slightly rippled or patterned surfaces, giving the plant a distinctive look that stands out in planted aquariums.
Like most Anubias species, it grows from a thick rhizome and is extremely hardy, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced aquascapers. Its sturdy leaves and slow growth make it ideal for attaching to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape where it can become a long-lasting feature in the aquascape.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required
Placement: Midground (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Anubias ‘Peacock’ works well in nature-style aquascapes, shrimp tanks, and low-tech planted aquariums. Its textured foliage provides visual contrast when paired with mosses, Bucephalandra, and driftwood layouts.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.
Please note that leaf shape, texture, and size may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
