Bucephalandra Green Wavy
Bucephalandra ‘Green Wavy’
Bucephalandra ‘Green Wavy’ is a beautiful Bucephalandra variety known for its elongated leaves with gently wavy edges and deep green coloration. The rippled leaf margins give the plant a dynamic texture that stands out in planted aquariums, especially when placed among smoother-leaf plants.
Like other Bucephalandra species, it grows from a creeping rhizome and develops slowly over time. It thrives when attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape where its leaves can grow naturally and enhance the structure of the aquascape.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required but beneficial for healthier growth
Placement: Foreground to Midground (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Bucephalandra ‘Green Wavy’ is ideal for nature-style aquascapes, nano tanks, and shrimp aquariums. Its textured leaves create contrast when paired with mosses, Anubias, and driftwood layouts.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.
Please note that leaf size, shape, and coloration may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
