Anubias Angustifolia
Anubias angustifolia
Anubias angustifolia is an elegant aquatic plant known for its long, narrow leaves and deep green coloration. Its slender leaf shape gives aquascapes a more refined and flowing appearance compared to broader-leaf Anubias varieties.
This plant grows from a creeping rhizome and is highly durable, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarists. Like other Anubias species, it is slow-growing and thrives when attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape, where it can create natural-looking accents in planted aquariums.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required
Placement: Midground to Background (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome to produce new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Anubias angustifolia is ideal for nature-style aquascapes, low-tech tanks, and shrimp aquariums. Its narrow leaves add elegant texture and contrast when combined with mosses, Bucephalandra, and driftwood layouts.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using thread or aquascaping glue to prevent rhizome rot.
Please note that leaf size and number of leaves may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
