Anubias Dragon Claw

Anubias ‘Dragon Claw’

Anubias ‘Dragon Claw’ is a rare and distinctive Anubias variety known for its uniquely shaped leaves that resemble curved claws. The foliage typically features textured surfaces with slightly twisted or curled edges, giving the plant a bold and dramatic appearance in aquascapes.

This plant grows from a creeping rhizome and is very hardy, adapting well to a wide range of aquarium conditions. Like other Anubias species, it performs best when attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape where its unusual leaf shape can stand out as a focal point in the aquascape.

Care Tips

  • Lighting: Low to Medium

  • CO₂: Not required

  • Placement: Midground (attached to hardscape)

  • Growth Rate: Slow

  • Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants

Aquascaping Notes

Anubias ‘Dragon Claw’ is ideal for nature-style aquascapes, shrimp tanks, and low-tech planted aquariums. Its unique leaf form adds character and texture when combined with mosses, Bucephalandra, and driftwood layouts.

⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.

Please note that leaf shape, size, and texture may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
