Anubias Glabra Minima

Anubias glabra ‘Minima’

Anubias glabra ‘Minima’ is a unique and elegant Anubias variety known for its narrow, elongated leaves and compact growth. Compared to broader-leaf Anubias species, this plant has a more slender leaf shape that adds a refined and natural texture to aquascapes.

It grows from a creeping rhizome and is very hardy, adapting well to a wide range of aquarium conditions. Like most Anubias varieties, it thrives when attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape where its leaves can grow naturally and enhance the structure of the aquascape.

Care Tips

  • Lighting: Low to Medium

  • CO₂: Not required

  • Placement: Midground (attached to hardscape)

  • Growth Rate: Slow

  • Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants

Aquascaping Notes

Anubias glabra ‘Minima’ works beautifully in nature-style aquascapes, low-tech tanks, and shrimp aquariums. Its slender leaves provide a different texture compared to round-leaf Anubias varieties and pair well with mosses, Bucephalandra, and driftwood layouts.

⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.

Please note that leaf size and number of leaves may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
