Anubias Heterophylla Green Apple
Anubias heterophylla ‘Green Apple’
Anubias heterophylla ‘Green Apple’ is a striking Anubias variety known for its elongated leaves and bright apple-green coloration. Compared to darker Anubias species, this variety stands out with its lighter tone, adding freshness and contrast to planted aquariums and aquascapes.
It grows from a strong creeping rhizome and produces long, elegant leaves that can become a beautiful feature in the midground to background of the aquarium. Like most Anubias plants, it is hardy and adapts well to a wide range of water conditions, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced aquascapers.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required
Placement: Midground to Background (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to grow new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Anubias heterophylla ‘Green Apple’ works well in nature-style aquascapes, low-tech tanks, and shrimp aquariums. Its bright green leaves provide excellent contrast against darker plants, driftwood, and stone hardscape.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.
Please note that leaf size, shape, and coloration may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
