Anubias Nana Petite Nano
Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Petite Nano’
Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Petite Nano’ is an extremely compact Anubias variety known for its very small leaves and slow, dense growth. Because of its miniature size, it is highly valued for nano aquariums and detailed aquascapes where scale and proportion are important.
This hardy plant grows from a creeping rhizome and adapts well to a wide range of aquarium conditions. Like other Anubias species, it performs best when attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape, where it creates lush green accents in aquascapes.
Care Tips
Lighting: Low to Medium
CO₂: Not required
Placement: Foreground (attached to hardscape)
Growth Rate: Very slow
Propagation: Divide the rhizome carefully to produce new plants
Aquascaping Notes
Anubias ‘Petite Nano’ is ideal for nano tanks, shrimp aquariums, and nature-style aquascapes. Its tiny leaves make it perfect for attaching to small stones, bonsai driftwood, or detailed hardscape layouts, creating a refined and natural appearance.
⚠️ Important: Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate. Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood using aquascaping glue or thread to prevent rhizome rot.
Please note that leaf size and number of leaves may vary slightly as these are natural aquatic plants.
